The Brigade
Casa della Rocca is, first and foremost, a story of friendship: of bonds that last a lifetime and others formed along the way.
Chefs Samuele Maio and Fabio Maiano and maître d’hôtel Valeria Rolando met in Dolcedo, at the very place that many years later would become their first restaurant. That meeting gave rise to a friendship which, over time, also became a family, with Fabio and Valeria’s marriage.
Their desire to grow led them to gain experience in Italy and abroad, in London, South Africa, India and Milan. But Imperia has always remained home, the place to return to in order to build something of their own.
Together with Marcella, Fabrizio and Davide, friends and supporters of the project, they have created a constantly evolving enterprise, which today includes Casa della Rocca in Dolcedo, the restaurant at the port of Oneglia and Uliveto della Rocca, dedicated to weddings and events immersed in the Ligurian countryside.
Our roots are here, but our outlook is open.
At the heart of everything is a team of more than 20 people, united by the same passion for hospitality, cuisine and teamwork.
This spirit has also given rise to the della Rocca farm, created to oversee directly the cultivation of some of the ingredients used in the kitchen, with respect for seasonality and the quality of the raw materials.
What makes Casa della Rocca special is its authenticity: its love for the local area, the value of relationships and the desire to grow without ever losing its roots.
